ProGARM recently exhibited the product range at the annual HEA Highways Electrical conference where all HEA members were present.
Particular focus was made on the Hi-Vizibility Yellow garments from the ProGARM collection as commonly used by many Blue Chip companies in the Utility, Highways and Electrical Sector.
Increasing the certification offered on these garments to include Arc Flash protection to the IEC 61482-2:2009 standard was a prime focus for 2013, and all models are now certified not only to the Class 1 4kA Box Test method but several garments including 7418 Trouser and 7480 Coverall now also include the ATPV Arc Thermal Protection Value.
The ATPV Arc Thermal Protection Value offers a calorific value of protection for each garment that you can directly relate to any Risk Assessments you have done on electrical equipment or work scenarios.
Products of interest for this market sector would include the 5285 or 5286 Polo Shirt, 7418 Trouser, 7480 Coverall, 5625 Sweatshirt, 2660 Arc Flash Helmet, 2678 Arc Flash Glove and the new 5790 Fleece Jacket.
Also available is the 4252 Winter Jacket which is certified to Class 2 7kA of the IEC 61482 Arc Flash Standard and offers over 8 EN certifications to justify its name as the ‘Total Protect’ jacket.
